Catwoman - 60's Style

My five year old son has taken a recent interest in Batman from the 1960's.

We have been watching some TV episodes (and the film, with the exploding shark!) and I am loving Catwoman. She's fierce!

There was also Julie Newmar

and Eartha Kitt

Who do you prefer as Catwoman?

Although they were all kick ass, my favourite Catwoman is Lee Meriwether.

Book of the Week: Corinne Grant – Lessons in Letting Go

I have always liked Corinne Grant (Australian comedian and television personality), so I was really looking forward to reading her book, Lessons in Letting Go.

Many readers of my blog have a passion for all things vintage. We have our collections that have history but what happens when the collection takes up most of your space?

Corinne talks about the overwhelming feeling that can occur when you have too much stuff.

It wasn't just 'stuff' to Corinne. Her possessions had memories attached to them. This is something that I can relate to, especially when it comes to my son’s things and presents I have received from my family.

Although Lessons in Letting Go deals with a somewhat serious topic, Corinne’s warmth and humour shine though on every page.

It’s not a self-help book but a wonderful, honest memoir.

Published by Allen & Unwin and is available on paperback for $23.99.

Rozelle Markets - What I Found Today

I love going to Rozelle Markets. You just never know what you may find.

Prices can sometimes be on the expensive side, but today found a stall that was clearing everything out for $1!

Here's what I got (excuse the quality of the photos, they are from my crappy iPhone):

This Faster Pussycat red gingham dress was my favourite buy of the day. I don't even think it's been worn before. The photo isn't really doing it justice. It's a small size and won't fit me so it's going to my niece.

Another present for my niece. This Cab 55 handbag is so cute.

This corset is going to be worn by my vintage mannequin.

Good shopping day! Can't believe that they were all only $1 each!
